FIFTH YEAR EMERGING ARTIST
ST. OLAF COLLEGE
The objective of the Fifth-Year Emerging Artist program is to offer graduates an intensive art experience to better prepare them for graduate school or a professional career in the arts. The program is designed for gifted and self-motivated artists and curators who wish to make visual arts the core of their professional future. Fifth-Year Emerging Artists create and exhibit their own artwork. Together they facilitate community events and act as mentors to undergraduate art students.
I spent the 2019-2020 school year participating in this program. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the spring of 2020, the studio art building at St. Olaf closed down, therefore my work had to change completely. What you see here is just a sampling of the work I made while in the studio and in my apartment during quarantine.
